Touchdown Zones The touchdown zone is a temporary gathering or waiting zone. It is an incidental place to “perch”. It is a place for getting a bit of work done out of the office or before class, “hanging out” or meeting. This zone could simply be a bench nestled amongst the bookcases or casual soft seating with compact worksurface and connectivity options, suitable for individuals, pairs and small groups. This is not necessarily a quiet zone. An arrangement of Timeout ottomans create an attractive accent and connectivity options. Colorful Fulltime Halfback seating can provide a comfortable temporary waiting/working space. They can be fitted with connectivity options. The Duo Café Counter grouping with Toadstool seating offers several option for “plopping down and plugging in”. This temporary-touchdown area illustrates the informal nature of this zone.
